That is what I kept from the first reading of this Sunday. It happened so amid my thoughts about corruption. In the social media’s outputs there are allegations of corruption among the political elite. If there is to me something I do not understand, it is the mentality of corruption. Our world is so corrupt that nobody escapes from this practice. All people try to cheat or rob everywhere they are. If you do not do so, you are suspicious. You are at the wrong place and at the wrong time.
According to the show « Bosolo na Politique » Kwangolese leaders have also taken this boat. The initial bill for the electrification of Kenge City was 12 millions USD. Not happy they contacted an Indian enterprise that brought the costs up to 24 millions. As the new CEO did not agree to sign off the last 34 millions, he was treated as incompetent, corrupt and unfit for the job. The bill of 12 was overcharged to 34. This is the classic way politicians enrich themselves by sharing all the benefits, sometimes without even getting the job done. Carefully considered, this case reminds of the Projet des 100 jours, which brought the present VP VK to prison some years back. Same scheme. Same result. Like with the first project money will be spent but electricity might never be provided as planned. Wait and see. Our leaders have to show that they commit to developing Kenge and Kwango. That is the challenge.
Nobody ever admits being corrupt. But everybody accepts bribe, and makes sure his own interest is granted. In the end everyone behaves shamelessly according to corruption system. Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.
