- Yes, son, she was.

- How come! She has to eat, drink...

- I take your point. Please note that life in Heaven is different from the one on earth. There, there is no need of food and beverage.

- But tell me please how she survived and became our Queen of the Universe?

- The Church calls it a dogma. Catholics believe that the Mother of Jesus did not die but was taken into Heaven. 

- What is a dogma?

- A dogma is something the Church asks us to believe in." 

Cette conversation date du dimanche 13.8 après la messe dominicale. Claver Jr a bien suivi l'homélie du curé et voulait en avoir le coeur net. Je la reconstitue, parce qu'elle me rappelle une conversation similaire que j'ai eue avec Mme Traudl Schmitt: "Dass der auferstandene Jesus Christus im Himmel gefahren ist; ist eigentlich kein Problem. Verständlich nachdem er tod war. Mit Mariä Himmelfahrt habe ich ein Problem, wenn sie mit Leib in den Himmel aufgenommen wurde. Sie sollte doch essen und trinken, usw.'" Je lui ai répondu exactement comme je l'ai répété il y a deux jours.
Le dogme de l'Assomption et celui de l'Immaculée Conception sont relativement récents et inaugurent une dévotion mariale qui se confirme de plus en plus dans l'Eglise. Le culte de la Mère de Dieu forme un point fort de la tradition catholique. Cette année est spéciale car elle commémore le centenaire des apparitions de Notre-Dame de Fatima.
